WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Multi-Site Controller is a key contributor to the Finance and Accounting Team in Crane NXT’s CPI business. The candidate will have complete ownership of Full P&L, Balancesheet, and Free Cash Flow Statement and will be responsible for Maintaining and forecasting accurate financial statements for a US and Maquiladora legal entity in Queretaro Mexico . The position affords wide exposure across the organization including frequent interaction with local management and Senior leadership team. Additionally, there will be opportunities to get directly involved in commercial, manufacturing, international, and project activities and initiatives.

The Multi-Site Controller will have a direct impact on our Finance group, responsible for:

  • Primary accounting leader for CPI Malvern business including maquiladora.

  • Primary accounting leader for maintaining general ledger including preparing, reviewing, and approving month end JEs (Journal Entries).

  • Leads in developing and maintaining appropriate financial closing policies, narratives and procedures for GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley compliance

  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules, such as Balance Sheets, Cash Flow statements and Income statements; Reconcile discrepancies and analyze variances.

  • Prepare key account reconciliations, yearend cooperate and tax binders, maintain fixed assets records and assist in the resolution of complex or unusual business challenges.

  • Ensure adequate internal controls; Direct and oversee cycle count program in addition to coordinating efforts on annual physical inventory; Review current standards to actual annually and oversee standard cost roll process; Control and maintain standard costing system.

  • Champions continuous improvement initiatives and drive necessary change and improvement to enhance internal controls, better financial reporting as well as improved budget and forecast accuracy as applicable.

  • Provides leadership and strategic insight to the finance team on accounting and compliance as needed with respect to specific higher risk and judgmental areas of accounting and reporting in compliance to Crane NXT/CPI financial policies.

  • Is a leader of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance and manages external and internal auditor relationships to facilitate completion of audit procedures in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Leads, motivates, and develops talent within the organization including, but not limited to, immediate direct reports by coaching, counseling, engaging, and evaluating associate performance through the Crane Intellectual Capital Process.

  • Identifies opportunities and drives projects to improve business processes and business support.

  • Establishes, implements, manages, and monitors critical accounting and reporting processes and associated metrics. Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.

  • Manages external and internal auditor relationships to facilitate completion of audit procedures in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Supports CPI leadership with special assignments, initiatives, and ad hoc reporting requirements.

  • Ensures that effective internal controls are in place to ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial reporting as well as the protection of company assets.

  • Assists in the resolution of complex or unusual business challenges.

  • Leads, motivates and develops talent within the organization including, but not limited to, immediate direct reports by coaching, counseling, engaging, and evaluating associate performance through the Crane Intellectual Capital Process.

  • Other duties as assigned

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You will bring forecasting and financial statement expertise with well demonstrated success in month end close analysis in a manufacturing business.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experienced Leadership, 10-12 years of increasingly responsible positions

  • Bachelor’s degree required.CPA or MBA preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement, team building and financial system implementations.

  • Demonstrated ability to promote and deliver positive change.

  • Must have solid knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and internal controls affecting areas of responsibilities.

  • Direct experience in all areas of responsibilities noted above.

  • Technology savvy.Strong Computer literacy in Microsoft office applications.Working knowledge of Hyperion, a plus.Experience with ERP implementations a plus.

  • Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles.

  • Advanced Excel skills required.

  • Ability to sift through data.Familiarity with databases and/or database front-end query tools.

  • Track record of managing multiple priorities under pressure situations within tight deadlines
