The Vanguard Group Cloud Engineer III in Malvern, Pennsylvania
Cloud Engineer III (The Vanguard Group, Inc. / Malvern, PA) -- Design, implement, and deploy cloud platforms to support and meet business needs; identify and recommend opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions; provide intermediate level technical support and monitor multiple cloud technology platforms efficiency through the use of monitoring tools and applications; maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of cloud software and infrastructure platforms; develop technical standards and test and evaluate IT vendor products; review configuration parameters to optimize system performance and maximize operation uptime; train and mentor staff and IT project teams, providing guidance and consultation as required; update, write, and maintain documentation for analytical family products; evaluate system performance and capacity in a large, distributed infrastructure environment; identify opportunities to improve system and application performance, including automating manual system tasks. Requires Master's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science & Engineering, or closely related IT field and two years of experience in job offered or in IT position(s) including AWS Data Developer/Data Engineer; or Bachelor's and five years of experience. Background in education, training or experience must include AWS Services (Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, Redshift, Step functions, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, Event Bridge, Athena, EMR, IAM and VPC); Python, PySpark, Unix Scripting Language, SQL, CICD. Company operates on hybrid model with three days in office and work-from-home available two days.
