Devereux's Children Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) is currently seeking an Admissions Specialist to work at their acute psychiatric inpatient hospital for children, located in Malvern, PA. The Admissions Specialist performs a variety of tasks involving hospital admissions processes to include primary external and internal customer contacts, intake processes, data entry and tracking and performing chart audits to ensure compliance and payment for services provided.

Rate of $20.54 - $23.41 an hour (dependent upon experience)
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Some daily responsibilities:
Accept and follow up with referrals in a timely manner
Screen and enter intake notes, make initial contact with insurance providers and guardians
Audit charts to ensure compliance and payment for services rendered
Track daily admissions and discharges to ensure proper census
Collaborate with hospital managers to ensure a smooth transition
DCBHC, the only free standing children’s psychiatric hospital in Chester County, Pennsylvania, employs a team of acute care professionals dedicated to meeting the needs of children and adolescents ages 5-18, and their families, in acute mental health crisis. Many of the individuals we serve are from southeast Pennsylvania, but DCBHC has served children and adolescents from other regions of Pennsylvania as well as neighboring states.
Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma. Associates Degree in related field preferred. Must possess current, valid driver’s license.
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years’ experience working in a clerical/secretarial position in front office healthcare setting required. Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
