Overview

We are seeking a talented Information Risk Management and Security professional to join our Governance and Control Team. You will join a world-class company known for its commitment to diversity, community involvement and work-life balance via the WorkSmart program (employees working from home). You will help drive an industry leading Information Security and Technology Risk Management program, leading the analysis in vulnerability management space as well as other initiatives.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Canadian Segment Governance and Control Team you will serve as a subject matter expert in Vulnerability Management. In the role of a Vulnerability Management Analyst you will assess, analyze, and report on vulnerabilities. Working with asset owners to prioritize and plan remediation. In addition to vulnerability management, the incumbent will also assess, analyze, and report on other information security subjects ensuring assets remain compliant to Global information risk policies, standards, programs and processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and triage Qualys scanning reports to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed according to criticality

  • Coordinate with asset owners and remediation teams to ensure that identified vulnerabilities are assessed and remediated

  • Manage Qualys reports for the asset owners and remediation teams

  • Provide analysis of vulnerabilities to team members to assist with overall vulnerability remediation efforts

  • Produce reports and dashboards

  • Interpret data and communicate Vulnerability Management trends to key stakeholders and leadership

  • Understand the controls needed in the IT environment

  • Promote a strong information security and risk culture

  • Interact and cooperate with information risk teams globally ensuring uniform processes and compliance with Global Information Risk Management processes, procedures, policies, standards, templates, and guidelines

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Computer Science or related discipline required) or equivalent experience.

  • 1-3 years progressive experience in a large, global organization, experience within financial services or insurance industry required.

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data

  • Good influencing and coordination skills

  • Strong skills in Excel, Teams, Outlook and Sharepoint

  • Experience with process/procedure documentation

  • Achievement oriented with proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Strong communicator and active listener with the ability to effectively articulate vision, possibilities, and outcomes.

  • Self-starter/fast learner – ability to quickly adapt to new tools or methodologies.

  • Some technical knowledge of software, servers, change management and testing.

Nice to Have

  • PowerBI skills, Visio skills

  • Risk management, insurance, IT or financial industry background and knowledge considered an asset
