Job Description

The opportunity

The Disaster Recovery(DR) Delivery Lead is responsible for DR operation of the Enterprise Technology Services(ETS) Asia to ensure DR operation readiness, maintain and enhance DR management, business continuity and operational resilience practice, ensuring that it is fit for purpose and addresses the key risks of crisis and business disruptions. In this role, the incumbent will develop a sound approach to disaster recovery working within the risk and controls framework, balancing the needs of the business and company disaster recovery standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Disaster Recovery and Operational Resilience regulations, legislation, publications, policies, rules, and guidance and optimally incorporate the same into Enterprise Technology Services’ strategies,

  • Accountable for managing the creation, lead and maintenance of disaster recovery plan, disaster recovery plan execution and annual DR testing exercise,

  • Develop BCM/DR/Resilience roadmap for key functions across Asia,

  • Establish process/procedure, coordination of and support for disaster recovery planning across critical data center and Azure services with Application teams\Business owners,

  • Lead End of Service projects,

  • Maintain, manage, and mentor ETS DR team members,

  • Develop and maintain the disaster recovery dashboards to provide senior leadership a single pane of glass disaster recovery review at all time

What we are looking for

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • Industry recognized Business Continuity Management certification

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in progressively responsible IT management and at least 3 years working in IT Disaster Recovery

  • Demonstrated experience in leading or developing Disaster Recovery, business continuity or operational resilience plans and programs in the Insurance or Financial Industry

  • Knowledge of methods, systems, and applicable legislative requirements for Disaster Recovery Management, Business Continuity and Operational Resilience

  • Solid understanding of information systems, data centers, cloud technology/platforms (Azure Cloud), and operation procedures in accordance with established corporate standards

  • Previous experience working in a large insurance, financial institution or other regulated industries

  • Good communication, organization and project management skills

  • Positive attitude with the ability to collaborate with geographically and culturally diverse multi-functional teams

  • Exceptional interpersonal, relationship management and partnership skills
