Amazon Business Analyst II, Amazon Fresh International (AFI) Central Marketing in Madrid, Spain
Description
Our vision for Amazon Fresh org is to establish Amazon as the first-choice grocery store for customers worldwide. We are seeking an exceptionally motivated and talented Business Analyst to support the Amazon Fresh International (AFI) Central Marketing team across Europe and Japan. The role can be based in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, or Italy.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-driven person who excels at handling large datasets and demonstrates strong analytical skills. You'll have a passion for creating user-friendly tools and reports for the entire AFI marketing org and local business teams while providing meaningful, actionable insights. You should have proven experience translating business requirements into efficient, scalable, testable, and maintainable SQL queries. In this role, you'll own the end-to-end development of reports and solutions to complex questions, playing an integral role in strategic decision-making. You should also understand how marketing affects the customer funnel and which levers drive business growth.
Key job responsibilities
Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing and ad-hoc metrics, reports, and analyses, to drive key business decisions
Engage business stakeholders in constructive dialogues to convert business problems into logic problems that can be solved with data, scripting, and visualizations
Effectively manages multiple high-priority tasks, remaining calm and focused under pressure
Partner with BIEs and Data engineering teams to scale automated solutions and collect stakeholder feedback to drive improvement over time
Proactively define, develop, and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to effectively measure and drive business performance across all aspects of Amazon Fresh operations.
Analyze and transform recurring business inquiries into self-service analytics solutions, empowering stakeholders with accessible, on-demand insights.
About the team
The Lifecycle team within AFI Marketing promotes and shares actionable insights across international business teams through descriptive analysis and automated reporting. We support stakeholders in nine countries across the world (NA, MX, UK, DE, FR, IT, ES, JP, SG). Our work informs and influences priorities to drive measurable customer and financial impact. We aim to drive insights with scale in mind, quantifiable and action-driven, ensuring timely delivery to the right audience with the right level of granularity.
Basic Qualifications
Experience with SQL
Experience in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau
Experience in business or financial analysis
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
Experience in customer segmentation, customer behavior analysis, conjoint/trade-off modeling
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Proven track record of converting complex business problems into actionable insights that drove significant business results
Excellent prioritization and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities effectively
Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
5+ years of Excel, Tableau, Quicksight experience (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
Proficient in a programming language (e.g., Python) for automation of data extraction, processing, and computation
Experience working with AWS products and environment (e.g., Redshift, S3)
Prior experience in Retail, Consumables, and/or Supply Chain Management industry
Master's degree in business or analytical discipline
