PROMEGA CORPORATION Sustainability Specialist in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description This is a full-time project position with the potential to be extended. JOB OBJECTIVE: This position will support the corporate responsibility program by monitoring emerging trends related to climate action and assist with initiatives to reduce waste and enhance product sustainability. This role may also help in collecting internal information and processing some of the routine and ongoing tasks within the program. CORE DUTIES: 1. Supporting Emerging Customer Needs: Addressing and adapting to evolving customer sustainability requirements to ensure product and service alignment and strong supplier rankings. 2. Monitoring Regulations: Staying informed about new environmental regulations and standards at local, national, and international levels to ensure compliance and integrate changes into company practices effectively. 3. Implementing Initiatives: Collaborating with various departments and cross-functional teams to understand opportunities, needs and implement initiatives. 4. Reporting and Analytics: Gathering and analyzing data to guide decision-making and improve performance. 5. Communications: Writing reports, presenting findings to management, and communicating with stakeholders about sustainability issues. Creating policies, procedures, and guidelines to promote sustainability within the organization. 6. Continuous Improvement: Assessing facility operations for opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. 7. Assessment: Building decision-making analysis tools to help leaders prioritize and evaluate initiatives. 8. Research and Analysis: Conducting research on sustainability best practices and analyzing data. 9. Community and Employee Engagement: Engaging with community groups and employees to promote and educate on sustainability practices. 10. Program Management: Managing recycling, composting programs, and other sustainability initiatives. 11. Supplier Collaboration: Working with suppliers to promote sustainable products and services. 12. Demonstrates inclusion through their own words and actions and is accountable for a safe workspace. Acts with kindness, curiosity and respect for others. 13. Bachelor\'s degree, enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree program. 2. Demonstrated work experience organizing multiple time-sensitive projects or requests. 3.
