American Family Insurance - Corporate Senior Manager, Workplace Design in Madison, Wisconsin
In this position you will be responsible for setting the vision and the strategic development of workplace environment design and space/relocation solutions that proactively supports business space needs, provides a productive and positive employee experience and defines our culture. You will manage an internal team and external consultants to provide interior design and consultation services to develop best in class, future-proof, cost effective workplace solutions. You will report to the Director of Workplace Development.
Position Compensation Range:
$86,000.00 - $142,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.
Primary Accountabilities
You will create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by facilitating and fostering trust, transparency, and inclusion. Work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support on-going development.
Lead with influence and expertise. Contribute to division or department leadership team. Communicate and support organization mission, vision, values, policies, and practices.
Manage the development of optimized workspace design strategies and layouts that deliver solutions to meet business partner`s expectations, government codes and real estate space utilization goals.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with corporate business partners to ensure workplace strategies developed support business needs.
Lead the development of operational budgets for furniture and equipment.
Lead team primarily responsible to manage office moves, closures and major reconfigurations of space or furniture.
Drive solutions that focus on effective workplace strategies for our customer, incorporating change strategies via established change management frameworks, that minimize unnecessary disruption to employees, and maximize workspace experience with a comprehensive understanding of workplace culture.
Provide data-driven solutions in alignment with real estate strategies to improve space efficiency and productivity levels, driving cost savings, and strengthen the company culture.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead, analyze and innovate new practices and procedures.
Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service. Demonstrated experience in managing large, complex projects.
Solid knowledge and understanding of program planning processes, tools and systems.
Solid knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
Solid knowledge and understanding of design and construction techniques, processes, methods and practices.

The ideal candidate will bring:
Precision in design and construction documentation and processes.
5+ years of experience in interior design projects, including office space reconfiguration, project management, or site supervision roles
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to furniture design and manufacturing, such as ergonomic standards and safety requirements.
Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with the ability to motivate and guide team members towards achieving goals.
In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783.
