Aston Carter Senior Loan Accountant in Madison, Wisconsin
Sr Loan Accountant
**MUST HAVE: Loan Accounting Experience!
Responsibilities:
Accounting Preparation: Journal entries, compliance with GAAP/FCA, invoice coding, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, cash clearing accounts, Board of Directors file maintenance.
Accounting Support: Bank balancing, issue resolution, journal entries, data entry, compliance.
Account Reconciliation: Monitor and reconcile accounts, resolve issues, contact clients, correct items, guide team members.
Accounting Entries: Prepare complex accounting processes.
Accounting & Planning Coordination: Training, request fulfillment, ICFR controls, close cycle processing.
Project and Process Improvements: Participate in projects, test plans, documentation, process improvements.
Relationship Management: Liaison with Board of Directors, client requests, issue resolution.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Experience: 2+ years of public accounting or 5+ years of related experience; CPA preferred.
Knowledge: Advanced accounting, cash operations, internal controls, GAAP, financial reporting, FCA regulations, loan accounting.
Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, general ledger/accounts payable systems, reconciliation systems, enterprise performance management.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $39.00/hr.
