Job Description
Lead an organization to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for applications, tools, networks, databases, etc. As a member of the OCI software engineering division that will lead professional software development tasks associated with the designing, developing and debugging of software applications for driving artificial intelligence into all support tasks and interactions. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area. 10+ years of people management, preferrably in software engineering or related experience.
Responsibilities
Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team is at the forefront of building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at scale in a distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers rely on our cloud to run their businesses, and our mission is to deliver best-in-class compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever-expanding suite of foundational cloud-based services.
The OCI Support organization is developing innovative services designed to operate at high scale and address complex, interconnected event platforms. This includes services like Oracle Support Center and Oracle Support Digital Assistant—cornerstones of the customer experience within OCI. These services present unique technical challenges and opportunities to drive customer-focused innovations.
As a Senior Director in the OCI Support AI Tooling team , you will lead an organization dedicated to building and enhancing scalable platforms that meet the evolving demands of Oracle Cloud. Your team will focus on optimizing support costs while delivering exceptional customer experiences through advanced rule-based systems, machine learning-driven alerts, and interactive bots. You will guide efforts to strengthen these foundational capabilities and continuously improve customer satisfaction.
This is a high-impact leadership role in a fast-growing, dynamic environment. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver innovative solutions and advance Oracle's mission. Your contributions will help shape OCI's and Oracle's support strategy and have significant technical and business influence across the company.

Minimum Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
15+ years of professional experience, including 10+ years in a executive, leadership or managerial role.
Proven expertise in object-oriented programming (Java/C++), data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP), operating systems, and standard network architectures.
Experience with databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
MS in Computer Science or related field.
Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
Knowledge of streaming technologies like Kafka.
Hands-on experience building and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
Strong knowledge of Unix-like operating systems and multi-tenant virtualized infrastructure.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $141,200 to $338,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
