Humana Senior Communications Professional- Change Management in Madison, Wisconsin

Our Change Management team is looking for an organized and creative Senior Communications Professional to craft internal communication plans that help sales agents and leaders prepare for and adopt changes to products, processes, technologies, and business strategies.
The Senior Communications Professional is responsible for developing communications that support the broader change plans created by the Change Management team. This role will create campaigns for different audiences, raising awareness of what is changing, how it impacts them, what to expect, and how to prepare. They will personally create multi-channel communications which may include emails, instant messaging campaigns, intranet sites, knowledge articles, newsletters, meeting materials, etc. They will also determine the knowledge management strategy for such communications, determining the appropriate location for end-users to easily access vital information related to their work.
This role will work closely with leaders, change managers, product owners, and project managers and will be expected to independently create communications and strategies based on their stakeholders’ requirements and needs. The Senior Communications Professional begins to influence department strategy, makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding the approach to projects, and their work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Communications
Develop and implement internal communication strategies that support change management initiatives and align with company goals, culture, and values.
Partner with leadership and functional teams to ensure communication is timely, relevant, and accessible.
Manage internal channels (e.g., intranet, newsletters, Teams, etc.) and continuously improve their usage and effectiveness.
Draft and distribute regular communications associated with all change mgmt. initiatives including critical updates, leadership messages and supporting resources, employee engagement content, campaign-aligned meeting materials
Knowledge Management
Design and implement knowledge management strategies and systems that enable employees to easily find, share, and contribute critical organizational knowledge.
Maintain and optimize internal knowledge repositories, such as wikis, intranet pages, playbooks, or knowledge bases.
Partner with department leads to capture or define processes, policies, and institutional knowledge related to communications or knowledge management practices.
Promote knowledge-sharing behaviors across teams and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Identify opportunities for automation, templates, and self-service resources that streamline communication and reduce knowledge silos.
Change Management
Develop and implement communication campaigns that align with change management strategies, including the timing and coordination of multiple communications to different audiences in order to create clarity, minimize loss of productivity, and ultimately maximize the adoption of the change.
Present at internal change network meetings regarding the timing and release of key pieces of information and the availability of knowledge mgmt. support
Create email, presentation, and other templates that can be used by our extended change network to ensure consistent and clear messaging related to our change initiatives
Use your skills to make an impact
Required Qualifications
5 or more years of experience in internal communications, organizational development, knowledge management or related work
Organized and detail-oriented
Strong time management skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent visual communication skills
Experience in copywriting and editing
Experience using internal communication tools as part of a strategic communication plan or campaign (e.g. Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Notion, Confluence, or similar)
Ability to articulate complex messages in a simple manner and tailor them to different audience needs
Strategic thinker with the ability to connect communication and knowledge initiatives to broader strategies
Ability to foster partnerships and rapport across teams to build a communication network
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field
Experience in a sales, healthcare or insurance organization
Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages
Go-to-market strategy experience
Additional Information
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$86,300 - $118,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
