About This Opportunity JOB TITLE: Milk Supply Planner POSITION TYPE: Full time CLASSIFICATION: Exempt Monday - Friday regular hours with on-call/weekend rotation Position Overview This position is responsible for inventory management for milk and milk-related products to ensure internal production needs and customer expectations are met. Key Accountabilities Manage supply and movement of milk, skim, cream, and whey products: Maintaining accurate on-hand inventories, understanding plant capabilities and run rules, customer orders/contracts/agreements Participating in purchases and sales of milk and other products Making on-the spot decisions, sometimes with limited information, to achieve the best outcomes Enter accurate and timely information into systems: Creating and editing requisitions, sales/purchase orders Entering information into 3rd party system for customer and internal milk/cream/skim Respond outside of normal working hours (evenings & weekends): Responding to changes in day-to-day milk movement, emergency situations, transportation issues, plant downtime and customer changes/inquires Participating in the on-call rotation for weekends and holidays Develop and maintain business relationships: Communicating in a timely manner with Foremost personnel, customers, and suppliers to answer questions, implement changes and resolve issues Coordinating with 3rd party transportation companies on product movement and federal order milk qualifying Other related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in logistics or related field of study, or some college coursework 3-5 years of job-related experience Preferred Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in logistics or related field of study Key competencies Facilitate trusting relationships through effective communication, follow through on commitments, resolving conflicts and recognizing the good work of others.
