WHEDA is seeking a Housing Technician to join our Risk & Compliance team in the Madison Office. SALARY: Hiring Range for this position is from \$ 22.69/hr. to 27.62/hr. Offered pay will be based on qualifications. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Housing Technician position is responsible for customer-focused, administrative housing support for the Compliance Team. The position also provides technical assistance with monitoring WHEDA\'s multifamily affordable housing portfolio to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position has daily interaction with external partners, including tenants, resource centers, management agents, and property owners. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Receives and logs all owner/agent and tenant concerns and contacts; researches, interprets, and resolves easy to intermediate concerns; assigns concerns regarding advanced compliance concepts to appropriate staff member to ensure efficient customer service. Provides administrative and technical support for multifamily portfolio management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of document processing; stays updated and knowledgeable with State and Federal Tax Credits, HUD Section 8, and other related assistance programs. Acts as a liaison between internal and external customers and Authority departments; responds to internal and external customer inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
