JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Department of Asian Languages & Cultures seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in Classical Chinese Literature and Culture who have a dedicated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and professional and university service. Applicants should have demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level along with expertise in the study of pre-1400 Chinese literature and culture or related fields. The successful candidate will contribute to an inclusive, fair, and equitable environment that fosters engagement and a sense of belonging for faculty, staff, students, and members of the broader community. Responsibilities: Candidates will be expected to conduct significant scholarly research leading to publication at the national and international levels. The successful candidate will engage in the intellectual life of the department through the teaching of undergraduate and graduate level courses, with a general teaching load of 2/2. Mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students is expected. Professional and university service is required as appropriate for the career stage. The successful candidate, as a member of the College of Letters & Science, will proactively contribute to, support, and advance the college\'s commitment to diversity among all aspects of teaching, research, and service.
