13060BRDepartment Name:HSP Medical Staff Svcs Location:Meriter Hospital Job Description: The Medical Staff Administrative Assistant performs a variety of duties in the areas of planning, coordinating, and supporting the physician and provider population at Meriter Hospital as well as the Medical Staff Office.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Two-year associate degree in Essential Office Skills, Medical Administrative Specialist, Administrative Assistant or equivalent previous related experience in lieu of degree.

  • Minimum 3 years prior experience in an administrative role. to include meeting management and minutes taking.

  • Previous experience managing confidential information.

  • The ability to work and make decisions independently as appropriate to role, along with the ability to work under direction.

  • Mid to advanced level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), medical terminology, strong organizational skills, excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills, including rules of grammar.

  • Must have the flexibility to attend early morning or evening meetings.

  • Must maintain absolute confidentiality.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, insurance, Medical Staff Services provider credentialing or other health care related environment

  • Previous experience working directly with Medical and/or Allied Health Professional staff.

  • Experience in deposit processing/ACH/ Accounts Receivables

  • Experience with onboarding new employees, medical staff, or others
