Job Title: Machine Operator - Various Shifts
Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machinery to produce metal parts according to work orders and blueprints. You will ensure quality by inspecting each piece of metal and making necessary adjustments. This role requires physical stamina as you will be lifting metal sheets and working with different equipment.
Responsibilities
Check the work order and blueprint for daily part production requirements.
Set up the machine each day based on the work order and blueprint.
Load metal sheets into the Brake Press and form and bend the metal as needed.
Operate additional equipment such as Fiber Laser, Die Stamp, spot welder, assembly, finishing, sanding, and punch press.
Visually and physically inspect each piece of metal to ensure it meets specifications without defects.
Lift metal sheets weighing 40+ pounds daily.
Essential Skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience operating machines and using micrometers and calipers for at least 1 year.
Proficiency with various equipment including Laser, press brake, and tig welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- At least 6 months of welding or fabricating experience.

Work Environment
You will work in a modern, temperature-controlled facility alongside 2-3 other employees in a pod setup. The facility houses over 300 people in the fabrication department across three shifts. The 1st shift operates from 6am-2pm, with an expectation of 5-10 hours of overtime. The environment is clean and well-maintained.

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
