Position Summary:

The Maintenance A position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment and building systems in order to assure the continuation of production.

They are also responsible for coordinating and/or leading work assignments with internal employees and external contractors.

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage contractors.

• Install and maintain machinery, equipment, and building systems such as HVAC, compressors, pumps, and

air handling exhaust systems.

• Maintain assembly equipment for building and testing all Parker FCD valves.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair problems with machinery and building systems including making

specific recommendations and determinations as to when rebuild procedures are necessary under normal

and emergency conditions.

• Move cells and machinery when necessary.

• Maintain equipment and needed supplies.

• Coordinate the work of other maintenance personnel as well as contractors and vendors.

• Follow SOP required within department.

• Understand ISO procedures and know where appropriate documentation is kept.

• Excellent internal and external customer service skills are required.

• Safety Training Required: LOTO, Hot Works, Respirator, Fall Protection, etc.

• Assist in the designing and fabrication of machine guarding, work tables/benches, jigs, and similar devices

for use within manufacturing facility

• General PLC Knowledge

• Support and influence others to adhere to all applicable OSHA regulations.

• OSHA 10 HR

• Understand MOC process and initiate MOC (Management of Change)

• Hold active Operator’s Permit for Powered Industrial Trucks

  • Education, Credentials and Previous Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical degree preferred.

• 3-5 years experience in manufacturing environment preferred.

• Knowledge of assembly and production equipment

• Knowledge of machining.

• Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools, gauges, portable power tools, forklifts and trucks.

• Total Productive Maitnenance (TPM)

  • Technical Depth and Breadth:

• Intermediate computer skills. Megamation System.

• Able to follow written/verbal instructions and directions in English.

• Learns and maintains required skill and proficiency to successfully accomplish full job responsibilities;

willingly takes on new assignments and cross trains in other areas.

• Ability to work from drawings, sketches, charts, schedules and blueprints

  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills:

• Lead team members to identify and achieve business improvements.

• Initiate contact with other support groups to resolve problems.

• Apply structured problem solving skills to help drive improvement activities, Lean and Kaizen projects,

HPT and TIB meetings.

• Provide suggestions for improvement. Consistently open to change and new ideas.

• Application and knowledge of pareto charts, 5Y, Fish Bone Diagram and 10 Step Problem Solving. Apply

structured problem solving skills, participate in improvement activities, Lean and Kaizen projects, HPT and

TIB meetings

  • Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills:

• Dependable, prompt and reliable with good overall attendance; present at work station when required.

area.

  • Physical and Mental Demands:

With or without reasonable accommodation:

• Required to sit, stand, bend & reach.

• May be required to stand, sit or alternate between sitting and standing for 8+ hours at a time, based on

business needs.

• Require near vision acuity, color vision, and visual accommodation to see and manipulate small parts at

near point for extended periods of time.

• Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.

• Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action is

required.

• Frequent lifting or moving of mediumweight (<25 lbs.) materials, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Use of Personal Protective Equipment as required, may include safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing

protection, and/or any other equipment deemed necessary.

• Exposure to oil, grease, dirt, cleaning chemicals, and cutting fluids.

• Welding and/or cutting tools flash, fumes and mist
