POSITION OBJECTIVE: To maintain all facets of the Cooperatives facilities to assure they remain in good working order and structurally safe. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: (a) Basic functions of the job include assisting with electrical, plumbing, security, yard maintenance, etc. as needed. (b) Mows and sprays pole yard area and keeps it free of debris. Also mows and sprays radio tower grounds area as required. (c) Participates in maintenance of security camera system and security lighting. (d) Assists with heating and cooling units are serviced to give maximum performance as needed (e) Completes lawn maintenance and yard improvement projects as required. (f) Assists with spraying and controlling weeds and brush in all unrestricted areas. (g) Mows and sprinkles lawns adjacent to the headquarters building and warehouse and keeps them free from debris. (h) Keeps sidewalks around building clean. (i) Changes and cleans filters on heating and cooling units. (j) Assists with painting when needed. (k) Assists out in the field when there are large areas of outages. (l) Drives, operates and maintains assigned equipment. (m) Assists with lighting maintenance. (n) Understanding and personally performing all duties in accordance with applicable safety and Cooperative policy manuals, as well as effecting adherence to such rules on the part of all employees assigned to his/her supervision. (o) Maintains daily e-time record. (p) Participates in safety meetings, training programs and annual meeting as required. (q) This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and can be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management deems necessary. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (a) High School Diploma or equivalent required. (b) Certifications in HVAC, electrical or vocational training highly recommended. (c) Two years of progressively responsible utility experience. (d) Must have good knowledge of all plant facilities. Also general knowledge of electricity, plumbing, construction, and mechanical skills. (e) Must have valid Florida Class A CDL or be able to obtain one within 6 months of employment. PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: General lifting, pushing, pulling, overall good health.
