Job Title: Service Technician
Job Description
You will be working in a manufacturing tool shop, mechanically repairing, lubricating, and cleaning pneumatic and hydraulic tools. These tools include pneumatic nailers and staplers, which are powered by compressed air to drive nails or staples into wood for pallets, chairs, buildings, and more.
Responsibilities
Repair and maintain pneumatic hand tools at various customer facilities.
Work independently and in an organized manner.
Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
Ability to regularly sit, walk, stand, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands and fingers to touch, handle, and feel.
Vision requirements include close vision and ability to focus.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Troubleshoot and repair low voltage machines.
Deliver products on a regular schedule.
Follow directions accurately.
Daily travel in a company-provided vehicle; overnight travel is very rare.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Take customer orders and maintain daily reports.
Keep accurate inventory of parts and reorder when necessary.
Maintain a clean driving record.
Essential Skills
Mechanical aptitude
Experience in repair and service of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
Strong communication skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving history
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent
0-5 years of experience in tool repair or a similar role
Experience with hand tools and field service
Experience with schematics and installations

Work Environment
This is a highly confidential opening, replacing a current employee. The site has less than 10 employees in total, and you will be working alone in your van. You will be working with North Alabama market clients, typically at construction sites. Your responsibilities will include delivering nails and staples in high volume, communicating with site leads, taking orders, keeping up with orders for each site, and repairing pneumatic nail staplers on site. Typical work hours are from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
