Job Title: Welder Fitter Fabricator
Job Description
This position is for a skilled Welder Fitter Fabricator who will be responsible for finding parts and handling all aspects of layout and fitting. The role involves using various tools such as saws, sheers, and punch presses to cut parts as required, marking out and drilling holes, and working with wire sizes mostly around .045. The employee will be engaged in building parts and performing layouts while reading blueprints.
Responsibilities
Find parts and perform own layout and fitting.
Utilize saw, sheer, punch press, and manual saw for part cutting.
Mark out and drill holes as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Build parts and perform layouts according to engineering production drawings.
Select equipment and plan part layout: cut, fit material, tack material, and weld out.
Layout workpieces per drawing without guidance or using standard fixtures.
Weld without the use of fixtures.
Set up and adjust machines and equipment to produce quality parts.
Perform flat and out-of-position welding.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in MIG welding with large wire size and heavy material.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
Experience in fitting, assembling, and layout parts per prints.
Knowledge of using tape measures, compasses, micrometers, mag levels, protractors, versa gauges, and calipers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience as a Welder Fabricator.
Ability to build based on a print without using fixtures.
Work Environment
The work environment involves engaging with various technologies and equipment for manufacturing products for the recycling industry. Employees will work with tools like saws, sheers, punch presses, and manual saws, ensuring precision and quality in their tasks. The position requires handling flat and out-of-position welds, set up, and adjustment of machines as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mackinaw, Illinois
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
