The Programming Team Lead shall strategically plan, prioritize, and program for future real property requirements to meet the MacDill AFB Mission.

Essential Functions:

  1. Fully implement the Air Force Principles of Asset Management in the manning, organization, processes and execution meeting Engineering Requirements.

  2. Meet the objectives and requirements of the following AFIs in their entirety as they pertain to MacDill’s Civil Engineer operations:

a. AFI 32-1021, Planning and Programming Military Construction (MILCON) Projects;

b. AFI 32-1020, Planning and Programming Non-Appropriated Fund Facility Construction projects;

c. AFI 32-1020, Planning and Programming Real Property Maintenance Projects using Appropriated Funds;

d. US Air Force Family Housing Guide for Planning and Programming, Design and Construction;

e. US Air Force Unaccompanied Housing Design Guide

  1. Manage all programs to accomplish the repair, maintenance, and construction of Air Force real property

  2. Responsible for training team members

  3. Strong communication, problem solving, organizational and delegation skills.

  4. Provide direction and guidance to Programmer/Engineering Technician(s)

  5. Manage daily workflows, producing strategies that help drive business initiatives and relaying clear instructions to team members.

  6. Provide hands-on direction for all activities and projects

Here’s what you’ll need :

Required Education / Skills: Bachelor’s degree in one of seven following areas: (a) electrical mechanical, structural, or civil engineering from a program certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology(ABET); (b) architecture from a program certified by the National Architecture Accrediting Board; (c) construction management from a program certified by the American Council for Construction Education; or (d) planning from a program certified by the Planning Accreditation Board.

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Air Force planning and programming.

Have and maintain WENG 200 Scoping and Estimating; WENG 423 Project Programming Course; and WMGT 231 SMS Builder Level II from the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT)

Certificate / License / Registration:

Secret Clearance

Travel: Minimal, as required
