dsm-firmenich Internship: Finance Group Tax in Maastricht, Netherlands

What You’ll Do

As an intern in the Corporate Finance Group Tax team, you'll play a key role in developing a strategic roadmap for tax policies and standards within dsm-firmenich. You will conduct meaningful research on external tax regulations, internal requirements and broader company policies. In close collaboration with the global tax team, you will help identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Your final deliverable will be a clear and well-founded report that will serve as a foundational guide for future tax policy development across the organization.

Key Achievements

End Goals:

  • The intern will deliver a detailed thesis/report that outlines a comprehensive roadmap for tax policies and standards, including strategic recommendations for implementation and improvement. This document will serve as a foundational guide for future tax policy and standard development within the organization.

Sub Goals:

  • Conduct research on external tax policies and standards.

  • Conduct research on (existing) internal tax requirements.

  • Conduct research on other dsm-firmenich policies and standards.

  • Analyze current tax regulations and identify gaps or areas for enhancement.

  • Collaborate with the global tax team to develop strategic recommendations.

  • Assist in drafting and presenting the roadmap for tax policies and standards.

What You Bring

  • Field of Study: Bachelor Program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Tax

  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, research skills, strategic thinking, strong written and verbal communication skills, collaborative mindset, proactive personality, able to work independently.

Eligibility criteria and conditions:

• Language requirements: Fluent in English

• Final Selection Day: 22.05.2025 in dsm-firmenich office in Maastricht

• Start of the internship: 01.09.2025

• Duration: 4 months

• Studies: currently enrolled at a Dutch university or applied science university (hogeschool)

• Location: dsm-firmenich Maastricht office

• Compensation: Internship salary is €550 per month.
