About the role

You will join a team of Simcenter Application Specialists and Product Managers with the overall objective to drive strategy for strategic applications across Simulation and Test segment, also collaborating with marketing, industry, and the sales organization. For each Application domain, there is a talented pair of one Application Specialist & one Product Manager !

Turbomachinery as a whole and how it is looked at Simulation & Test Solutions segment can be classified as one of 3 major themes: Digitalization, Electrification and Design . So, in your role as specialist your will be exposed to the most challenging topics in industrial turbomachinery spanning durability, aircraft propulsion electrification or predictive maintenance to name a view. The initial focus however is firmly on digitalization of manufactured parts, combuster analysis and blade cooling design .

As an Application Specialist, and involved on complex topics, you will bring value in the sales process to facilitate sales of Simulation solutions by engaging with customers on turbomachinery topics, to gather high level customers business and technical requirements to determine customer needs.

Building effective and valuable relationships (internal and external) is central to the role . So naturally, you need to create trust and credibility with our customers and be great at spotting the opportunity for true business value. You are acting as a trusted adviser on our customer’s challenges, and how Siemens can improve their business.

Your role will be at the interface between inbound and outbound activities:

• You develop and deliver technical demonstrators aiming at evidencing the gaps and/or proposing how to improve the overall performance and comprehensiveness of the targeted workflows, discussed, and agreed with the product management stakeholders.

• You assemble material based on contributions from various solutions in the Simcenter portfolio to ensure visibility, positioning, presence of Simcenter Applications in the various industries it serves and related marketing and sales campaign assets. You contribute to branding and reputation by delivering assets highlighting the value, the differentiators and the uniqueness of what Simulation and Test can deliver in context of turbomachinery. Together with the Simcenter Application Product managers for Turbomachinery, you support synchronization activities with the complete Simcenter product management organization to drive the execution of the strategic roadmap, from initial sharing of requirements until delivery and presentation in context of enablement activities and early adopter programs.

Your qualifications

We would love to hear from you if you have an engineering degree, and a comprehensive experience in using simulation solutions ( CAE, CFD, Systems simulation, testing , etc.), either in the industry and/or in a context of technical presales or consultant roles. We are looking for someone with a deep knowledge of applying simulation in the context of Turbomachinery . You should come with an ability to find innovative approaches to problem solving and to show initiative in overcoming challenges.

• Your demonstrated experience in creating a solution vision and strategy , including an understanding of the market, and the problems they face helps you create high value, show initiative and accountability within a dynamic work environment.

• Thanks to your excellent communication skills in English , you build positive relationships with your colleagues, and you can lead cross-functional teams, regardless of reporting structure. You are a strong team player and creative thinker who can work with multi-cultural, dispersed technical teams.

As the particularity of the team is to be cross applications domains, you will work with many different actors and key experts for each ongoing project: you will need to show flexibility, agility & internal networking skills.
