*Library and Archives Paraprofessional 3 - Circulation and Collections Technician *

SALARY:   $40,716 - $45,732

LOCATION: Lynnwood, Washington

DESCRIPTION:   

Under the supervision of the Circulation Manager, the Circulation and Collections Technician manages the course reserves, including creating course reserve records for the integrated library system (ILS), Alma, stacks maintenance, and communicating with stakeholders.This position uses the resource sharing systems for interlibrary loan (ILL), runs and analyzes reports, keeps up with system updates, and troubleshoots and resolves problems interlibrary loans. They also have primary responsibility for managing serials acquisitions, including receiving and claiming lost issues, updating holding records in the ILS, and processing serials to make them shelf-ready. This position downloads analytics reports in order to track and make recommendations for the course reserves, ILL, and serials collections. They may cross-train other staff as backup. 

The position also provides complex customer service to students, employees, and community members at the circulation desk using established library policies procedures in the ILS. The position also helps other staff in daily circulation functions and related projects.

This is a classified position reporting to the Circulation Manager.

  • Provide complex library circulation services;
  • Managing the reserves collection and services;
  • Processing serials;
  • Processing  interlibrary loans;
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED, OR equivalent education

At least one year of  experience in a library, with focus on customer service 

Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skill
