Job Title: Field Service Technician
Job Description
As a Field Service Technician, you will travel safely to domestic and international customer sites to train and assist company and customer personnel in the installation, start-up, operation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of customer products. You will prepare detailed reports of service calls and make recommendations for design changes when necessary. Additionally, you will review customer processes and equipment to suggest new equipment or upgrades, conduct field test simulations, and resolve customer issues both remotely and on-site.
Responsibilities
Travel to customer sites to assist with installation, start-up, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of products.
Train customer personnel using O&M manuals or specialized training materials.
Prepare detailed service call reports, indicating problems encountered and work performed.
Make recommendations for design changes based on field observations.
Review customer equipment and processes to recommend upgrades.
Conduct field tests and evaluate results to solve operational problems.
Resolve customer issues via phone or on-site visits.
Make periodic return trips to customer sites to ensure proper procedures and operations.
Keep detailed time records and submit service and expense reports promptly.
Update related documents and submit to appropriate departments for revision and customer submittals.
Maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely.
Function respectfully and collaboratively as part of a team.
Adhere to EEO guidelines and principles.
Report to work on time and ready to perform assigned duties.
Perform other related duties as necessary to achieve department objectives.
Essential Skills
Strong knowledge of electronics and mechanics.
Experience with PLC systems and programming.
Proficiency in industrial control and PLC troubleshooting.
Ability to travel frequently (up to 85% on the road).
Valid driver's license.
Experience with variable frequency drives (VFD).
Ability to work with voltages ranging from 5V to 480V.
Adaptability to different working conditions and environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing fields.
Ability to work at heights and in various temperatures.
Experience working with proprietary controllers.
Strong customer interfacing skills.

Work Environment
The position is based in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area, with the headquarters located in Lynn Haven, FL. You will work both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures, sometimes at heights or in dusty environments. The role requires adaptability to different work settings and conditions, including working off a manlift. Dress code and safety attire will be required as per job site conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lynn Haven, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.75 - $23.75/hr.
