The Associate Biomedical Technician is responsible for installation, electrical safety inspections, periodic maintenance, performance testing and major and minor repairs of medical equipment in assigned areas of the hospital, as well as external/retail clients. The Associate Biomedical Technician operates sophisticated test equipment and instrumentation for inspections, performance tests, and periodic maintenance/repairs of medical equipment. The testing data acquired from said testing is analyzed and may be prepared for reports.

Please note the following important details regarding this position:

  • This role is an onsite position and will report onsite daily as scheduled

  • Providence welcomes applications from residents who live within a daily commutable distance to the hospital location in Lubbock, Texas

  • Eligible Applicants will be required to have reliable transportation to travel to various site locations throughout the work day

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon request: If position requires driving, a valid drivers license and proof of insurance per company policy will be required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or

  • Coursework/Training: Electronics Technology, Military or Technical Training

  • 1 year experience in repair of biomedical equipment or equivalent field
