Technical assistant - Transportation
Job description
The Technical Assistant occupies a crucial position in providing administrative support to a team of Property and Casualty insurance brokers. His/Her main duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Master the concept of billing
Master the financing process, follow it up and request reimbursement cheques from policyholders and/or financing, where applicable.
Follows up on activities
Responds to various insurance confirmation requests (certificate, creditor, landlords)
Master clerical tasks (page layout, preparation of presentations, table of contents, binders)
Answering phones
Distribution of mail
Proficient in computer software (EPIC, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Issues certificates according to instructions and forwards them to the appropriate people
Sets priorities according to deadlines
Respect the pace and needs of other team members
Accomplishes accurate and precise work
Job requirements
Technical skills
Degree in office automation, secretarial studies or equivalent.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word and Excel).
Personal skills
Attention to detail
Accuracy and meticulousness
Ability to analyze protection
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Demonstrate good team spirit.
Complementary skills
Knowledge of EPIC software, an asset;

Knowledge of the insurance industry, an asset.

Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience

Required Education: College diploma (3-year degree)
