This is a Shop Flow Coordinator position located in Louisville, MS.

Job Summary: The Shop Flow Coordinator is a crucial role responsible for the efficient scheduling, coordination, and prioritization of maintenance and repair work within our Sudden Service shop locations. This position serves as the central point of contact for managing the workflow of equipment from Taylor Leasing and Rental, Sales, and potentially other internal departments. The Shop Flow Coordinator ensures a timely and effective delivery service, optimizing shop capacity and maximizing equipment uptime.

Duties/Responsibilities: Work Order Management: Receive, review, and accurately input work orders into the service management system for maintenance and repairs on equipment from Taylor Leasing and Rental, Sales, and other designated sources. Scheduling and Dispatching: Develop and maintain a daily and weekly shop schedule, assigning work to technicians based on their skills, availability, and the priority of the work order. Proactively communicate schedules and any changes to relevant parties. Prioritization: Evaluate work orders and, in collaboration with the Service Manager and other stakeholders, determine and implement appropriate priority levels, ensuring urgent needs, such as those for rental customers or critical sales equipment, are addressed promptly. Communication Hub: Serve as the primary point of contact between service technicians, parts department, sales team, rental department, purchasing, and customers (when necessary) regarding the status of work orders, estimated completion times, and any potential delays. Parts Coordination: Collaborate closely with the parts department to ensure timely availability of necessary parts for scheduled repairs. Follow up on back-ordered parts and communicate any impact on the work schedule. Progress Monitoring: Track the progress of all active work orders within the shop, identifying and addressing any bottlenecks or potential issues that may impact completion times. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of work orders, schedules, technician assignments, and repair statuses within the service management system. Efficiency Improvement: Continuously evaluate shop workflow and identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and optimize resource utilization. Customer Service: Provide excellent internal customer service by ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and striving for timely and satisfactory completion of all service requests. Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is scheduled and performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.

Required Skills/Abilities: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with various stakeholders. Proficiency in using service management software, iSeries, and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). The ability to read and understand technical manuals and service procedures is a plus. Strong problem-solving and decisio -making abilities. Understanding basic mechanical principles and shop operations is beneficial. Able to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity to read computer screens and documents. Some Travel will be involved.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience with material handling equipment.
