Humana Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Louisville, KY.Duties: Write high-quality code that satisfies customer needs and strives for simplicity, clarity, and testability. Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g. business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and end users) to understand functional and non-functional requirements. Investigate and propose solutions to development and design problems. Participate in code reviews or use collaborative programming techniques to promote high quality business outcomes. Conduct analysis to determine integration needs, design, and plan integrations. Implement unit and integration tests and conduct functional and performance testing where appropriate. Develop reusable software building blocks to enable faster delivery. Improve performance of existing software by diagnosing and resolving critical issues. Prepare technical documentation, including software design evaluation plans, test results, and technical manuals. Coach and mentor junior software engineers. 100% telecommuting permitted within the U.S.Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or its equivalent). Requires 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a related roles. Requires 5 years of experience with each of the following skills:• .NET C#; • REST APIs; • Web & service development; • Microsoft .Net Core; • OO, SOA, and PaaS principles, design patterns, and containerization such as Docker.Requires 4 years of experience with each of the following:• Microsoft SQL Server 2016; • SSIS (ETL) and SSRS package development; • SQL optimization techniques.Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
