It ensures the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations. This position is well-versed in production procedures and ways to optimize them. The role is organized and results-driven with great problem-solving skills. This person acts as a liaison between production, engineering, purchasing, and warehouse to address and resolve problems. They will manage priorities, revise schedules, and issue change orders as needed.Location:This position is an onsite role based in Louisville, Kentucky. A hybrid work schedule may be allowed, depending on the supervisor’s approval.Compensation and Benefits$56,000.00 - $69,000.00 | Salary is negotiable depending on experience.Benefits:•Health Insurance covered at 80% for employees - plans include family planning benefits•HSA Plan and FSA Plan - both include company contribution!•Competitive Dental and Vision Plans•Health and Well-being initiatives•4 weeks PTO•11 Paid Holidays•401(k) Plans with company match and immediate vesting•Company provided Short Term Disability•Basic Life Insurance at no cost to employees•Voluntary Life Insurance with Accidental Death and Disability•Educational Assistance and Professional Development Opportunities•Optional Hybrid Work Schedule for approved positions only•Public Service Loan Forgiveness EmployerEssential Duties and Tasks•Strategically develop production plans to maximize product availability efficiently and effectively while reducing scrap and rework based on forecast, sales demand, and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) outputs.•Manage the capacity load for the work centers and determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production schedules.•Monitor production progress, purchase order statuses, materials inventories, and other factors affecting production schedules.•Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.•Plan and reschedule orders to support changes in demand and availability of capacity and materials.•Develop and communicate contingency plans for production and materials availability.•Utilize lean manufacturing concepts to reduce waste and improve productivity through process improvements.•Diplomatically and effectively interface with other departments to resolve manufacturing problems or materials issues to meet customer demand.•Foster and maintain a positive business relationship with internal customers and suppliers.•Prepare and submit status and performance reports.•Complete other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications - Experience - Training•Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.•3+ years’ related experience.•APICS, CPIM, CIRM, ORM, CSCP, ISO, or SAP certification(s) preferred.A combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted when competency in the role is demonstrated. Reasonable accommodation may be provided for those who are able to perform the essential duties of the job.Specialized Skills and Knowledge:•Must have experience using forecasting, MRP, and Sales and Operations Planning•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.•Ability to work well under pressure and highly organized self-starter.•Skilled in providing solutions to complex challenges utilizing problem solving techniques.•Knowledge of continuous improvement / LEAN methods.•A strong team orientation combined with positive and influential leadership skills.•Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel, Word, and PowerPoint•Experience with SAP is preferred. Work with other ERP software systems will be considered.Working Conditions:•This work is performed in a business office setting within a facility with a production and distribution center.
