Mental Health Associate – Transitional Living - PRN
The Brook Hospital-KMI is currently seeking Mental Health Associates to work with our Men's Trasitional Lving House. This is a specialized 12 bed program for those with Substance Use Disorders.
PRN rate is $17.00 hourly ( shift differential offered 7.5% for second shift and 12% for third shift)
Shifts needed are mostly weekend shifts but some are needed during the week to assist with vacation coverage.
Hours will vary based on facility needs.
shifts are 8 hour shifts but can pick up doubles
7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a
Mental Health Associate
Serves as an active member of the clinical staff; maintains a therapeutic relationship with all patients; assists in maintenance of a safe, clean, therapeutic environment; assures patient participation in program activities; and performs technical/patient care duties relative to patient’s health and safety.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Drives group in a passenger van to offsite AA meetings as needed
Assists with groups with focus on Recovery focused topics
Performs safety checks and patient observation rounds per guidelines
Assists mutidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety

Qualifications
Qualifications
Education – High School diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
Drivers license with excellent driving record to drive a passenger van
Years of experience needed – Direct patient care experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
Certifications – Must maintain current CPR and first aid certification ( we will provide )
Computer skills – Ability to: gain training through web-based programs; participate in employee surveys;
Communication – Must possess excellent verbal skills in communicating with patients, coworkers and visitors.
Team work – Must be able to work with a mutidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety
Service Excellence – Consistently demonstrates all Service Excellence Standards.
