Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of existing equipment and utilities. The successful candidate will ensure timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance schedules as assigned by the supervisor. Responsibilities include the installation, repair, and maintenance of various mechanical, electrical, rotating, and hydraulic equipment along with piping systems, vision systems, IT, and Ethernet cabling and switches in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the plant meets its goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, rotating, and hydraulic equipment.

  • Complete preventive maintenance work as scheduled by the supervisor.

  • Install, repair, and maintain piping systems, vision systems, IT, and Ethernet cabling and switches.

  • Troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment, including pumps, valves, and other industrial components.

  • Repair mills used in the fabrication of metal and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.

  • Troubleshoot and perform minor PLC work, mostly with Siemens systems.

  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.

  • Ensure plant compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.

  • Fabricate, assemble, repair, clean, and maintain equipment such as valves, pipes, filters, ventilation, heat exchangers, hydraulics, mills, mixers, furnace boilers, and pumps.

  • Lubricate machines and perform welding, brazing, cementing, and soldering of piping.

  • Minimize downtime and document repairs and maintenance.

  • Coordinate work with fellow workers and operate man lifts and forklifts.

  • Sustain physical activities such as kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs with a 20 lb load, ladder climbing, and consistent hand tool usage.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma required.

  • Experience with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment.

  • Experience with repairing pumps, valves, mills, and other industrial components.

  • Basic PLC troubleshooting skills, especially with Siemens systems.

  • Knowledge of pneumatics and welding.

  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Willingness to acquire master certification (company-paid).

  • Willingness to travel overseas for training after one year of employment.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 1st shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential work on two Saturdays per month if needed. You will be part of a small team with one other Electrician. The work environment involves exposure to varying temperatures, non-hazardous powder, and solvent smells. The facility is old in some areas, and you will often work underneath equipment. Safety and cleanliness are priorities, despite the dirty environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
