Overview
This is an intern level maintenance and operations position. Perform basic to routine skill level work under moderate supervision/oversight, in order to clean, check, inspect, repair, maintain, operate and install various pieces of equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance activities as required to maintain, repair, inspect, install, rebuild, construct, and troubleshoot various power plant equipment.
Learn the proper use of hand tools, power tools, hoist, drill presses, grinders, and other tools and equipment pertaining to the work.
Assist employees in carrying out work assignments.
Clean equipment undergoing repairs, handle and move material, supplies and equipment in connection with the work and work area.
Be able to learn to make and read simple drawings and sketches.
Prepare and take the Edison Electrical Institute (EEI) POSS/MASS test measuring job responsive aptitude, ability to retain knowledge, and problem solving skills.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in a technical field. Applicable degree fields include Industrial Maintenance, Advanced Automation & Robotics Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 2.50 GPA.
