Position Summary :
The Procurement Specialist role will be implementing procurement and sourcing activities, as well as managing relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities:
Carry out procurement and sourcing activities for assigned chemicals, covering three manufacturing facilities in Europe
Align with key partners to enable an effective sourcing of materials and suppliers globally developing and running RFx events
Run basic cost and scenario analysis to analyze supplier bids to award business in line with established procedures
Ensure supply security and sourcing of quality materials at the best cost while mitigating the risks of single/sole source, cost inflation and delivery delay
Develop and improve supplier relationships
Take part in cross functional continuous improvement work using PPI methodology
Maintain alignment and clear communication with Supply Chain, Operations, Product Management and Business Unit teams
Implement short- and long-term sourcing plans to mitigate risks
Support supplier qualification process to source and qualify new suppliers globally
Gather and analyze data using procurement spend analytics tools
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain or other relevant field
Minimum of 3 experience in a procurement / sourcing function
High level of English language proficiency (verbal and written)
Knowledge of sourcing strategies and supplier management
Knowledge of procurement spend analysis, sourcing, supplier, contract management systems and ERP
Experience in chemicals procurement, sourcing or supply chain management preferred
Knack to build positive relationships, influence others, and work in tight-knit collaboration with partners across multiple locations
Developed interpersonal approach to work in an inclusive environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work hard, prioritize and run multiple projects
