Amazon IXT Lead for Amazon Entertainment , Inclusive Experiences and Technology, Employee Experiences (IXTEE) in Los Angeles, California

Amazon is looking for a new Inclusive Experiences and Technology (IXT) Leader for our Amazon Entertainment. The Amazon IXT organization focuses on supporting Amazon's vision of Inclusive Experiences, Everywhere. The IXT Leader will play a critical role driving scalable strategies that will enable our employees to thrive and our business to grow. Serving as a thought leader and subject matter expert, the IXT Leader will work closely with business and Human Resources leaders to identify opportunities and drive impact globally.

Key job responsibilities

•Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of the IXT strategy for the AIGC organization

• Partner closely with business and HR to understand the business and help identify opportunities to advance diversity and inclusion results and initiatives

• Successfully lead a geographically dispersed team to ensure that we are reflecting perspectives from diverse environments, maximizing opportunities to replicate “best in class” work and driving innovative and new approaches that drive measurable changes

• Lead research projects and define and provide subject matter expertise for experiments to identify areas of focus with highest impact to business

• Connect and inspire people to drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities

• Utilize Amazon’s analytical, objective and measurable approach to increasing diversity and inclusion through data and analytics

• Create, maintain, and disseminate resources in a variety of formats across all levels of the organization

• Think big to identify the root causes of problems through an expanded, holistic view and long-term perspective

• Be comfortable operating at speed to ensure forward momentum, fast iteration and incorporate new learnings

• Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels in the organization

About the team

The Inclusive eXperiences and Technology Employee Experience (IXTEE) team drives inclusive and equitable employee experiences for Amazon’s business groups by:

Forming strategic, business group partnerships led by high-judgement IXT Business Partners (IXTBPs);

Developing and owning disruptive experiments and bespoke programs that reflect differentiated, business-specific needs; and

Creating connectivity mechanisms to other critical Amazon Centers of Excellence, IXT teams, and business groups.

We build enabling mechanisms that equip IXTBPs to lift in both level of support and strategic impact, invest in a think-big incubator that allows us to go fast in development and test disruptive ideas built for integration, and drive operational standardization across business groups to inform clear Amazon-wide prioritization. In 2024, we will focus on stratifying work, leveraging scalable mechanisms, and ensuring we are investing resources in work that drives our future.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

• 7+ years of experience working in an HR or business function

• 3+ years of relevant diversity, equity and inclusion experience

• Experience operating as strategic global partners for the leaders, defining and delivering diversity strategies with significant business impact.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work that focuses on efforts that solve large, significantly complex, and/or highly confidential problems to surface proposals grounded in subject matter expertise and internal/external research.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and programmatically. ·

• Experience in enabling and embedding world class projects across multiple businesses.

• Experience and credibility as a leader in an environment where the ability to influence, work across a complex matrix, and build relationships is critical.

• Strong organizational skills, successful collaboration with colleagues, and a strong results orientation.

• Ability to identify and surfaces risks/opportunities in org-level strategies and makes trade-offs: business opportunity vs. resources vs. sustainability.

• A driven, results-oriented and resourceful leader who is capable of quickly taking control of their responsibilities and establishing themselves as a credible strategic partner.

• A highly effective written communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely ideas, concepts, and proposals to engage team, peers, and leaders.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
