UCLA Health Business Intelligence Analyst - Pediatrics in Los Angeles, California
Description
This
position will work closely with the Business Intelligence Manager to provide
decision support analytics and capabilities to the Departments of Pediatrics
and Family Medicine. Duties include, but are not limited to: building and
maintaining reports to help service business and strategic requirements;
developing dashboards to help monitor ongoing performance; and leveraging the
wealth of available data at UCLA to help inform decision making at the
Department level.
Salary
Range: $78800.00 - $175000.00 Annually
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in computer/information science, statistics, business, finance, accounting, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Exceptional assessment, analytical, organizational, math and problem-solving skills accompanied by strong ability to understand underlying issues / drivers
Thorough knowledge of Business Intelligence concepts, functions, analytics, industry standards and best practices. Proven experience building robust dashboards to support decision making.
Proven commitment to quality and accuracy; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality
Strong customer service interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Strong ability to communicate effectively, collaboratively, and professionally, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner
Thorough knowledge of BI applications and tools: e.g.Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Excel, Access, Oracle Financial Cloud (OFC), EPIC/Clarity, and other relevant databases.
Detail oriented, with ability to manage time and organize competing priorities.
Proven ability to serve as a technical resource providing advice and counsel on business intelligence issues.
Demonstrated understanding of database relationships and structures and knowledge of SQL programming language.
Proven experience in data transformation/manipulation/data cleansing tools and techniques.
Prior experience working with healthcare data and knowledge of industry KPIs
Preferred:
Minimum of 2 years related experience, education, or training
Epic Clarity Certification/Training
