Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Los Angeles, California

Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in LOS ANGELES, California. This role is within the Non-Profit sector and offers a long term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you'll be tasked with handling invoice and requisition documents, ensuring their accuracy, and maintaining organized financial records. You'll also be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to both vendors and internal departments.

Responsibilities:

• Verifying the accuracy of invoice and requisition documents received

• Handling the organization and management of financial forms

• Preparing invoices for data entry and payment processing

• Generating backup reports post data entry

• Identifying discrepancies in invoices and reconciling them

• Updating and maintaining records and databases with financial data

• Ensuring all transactions are properly filed and recorded

• Tracking outstanding invoices or discrepancies and ensuring resolution

• Serving as the point of contact for vendors and internal departments, providing excellent customer service. Requirements • A minimum of one year experience serving in an Accounts Payable or related financial role within a Non-Profit organization.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.

• Solid experience with Accounts Payable (AP), including managing outgoing bills and invoices on behalf of the organization.

• Familiarity with Check Runs, managing scheduled payments and ensuring timely processing.

• Proven ability in Coding Invoices, categorizing expenses accurately for record-keeping and auditing purposes.

• Capable of performing Data Entry tasks with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Experience in Invoice Processing, verifying and recording invoices from vendors and suppliers.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis.

• Experience with Oracle financial software for managing accounts payable and other financial transactions.

• Knowledge of QuickBooks for managing and tracking the organization's financial transactions.

• Familiarity with SAP for managing business operations and customer relations.
