Robert Half Inventory Analyst in Long Beach, California

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Inventory Analyst in the Oil & Gas industry, based in Long Beach, California. The main function of this role involves the careful monitoring and reconciliation of inventory transactions, as well as the preparation and analysis of inventory-related financial statements. The selected candidate will also be expected to identify and implement improvements to inventory accounting processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Reconciling inventory transactions and ensuring their accurate valuation and reporting

• Preparing and analyzing inventory-related financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies

• Investigating and explaining variances between actual and expected inventory levels, costs, and margins

• Identifying and implementing improvements to inventory accounting processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Collaborating with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in inventory management

• Assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to inventory

• Utilizing ERP systems effectively for inventory management and reporting

• Displaying a high level of proficiency in utilizing software like Epic Software, ERP solutions, IBM AS/400, Interface Engine, About Time for effective inventory management

• Showcasing excellent communication and customer service skills in all interactions

• Implementing effective auditing and collection processes as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Epic Software is essential.

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required.

• Familiarity with various ERP Solutions is a must.

• Knowledge of IBM AS/400 is beneficial.

• Ability to work with an Interface Engine is expected.

• Experience with the 'About Time' software is desirable.

• Strong auditing skills are required.

• Understanding of Collection Processes is necessary.

• Excellent communication skills are fundamental.

• Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
