Senior Broker - Financial Institutions, North American Risks

We're Hiring, Are you ready for a new challenge?

Are you an experienced broker, who is looking to step into a Lead/Senior level position and tackle more client management responsibility ? Can you co-ordinate and contribute to the marketing and negotiation of Financial Institutions business within the Lloyd’s and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis?

If so, then we'd love to hear from you in connection with this phenomenal, hybrid opportunity to join our Financial Institutions team, which forms part of our Global Broking Centre.

What the day will look like

  • Review Submission

  • Lead quote broking / Follow market broking

  • Present terms to client / network

  • Firm Order broking (PPL / email)

  • Record broking activity in market sheets

  • Review draft / final MRC

  • Send Cover confirmation to client/network

  • Provide benchmarking and placement advice to clients

  • Client meetings

  • Respond to A/C queries

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced working environment, with access to Lloyd's, the London market, European markets and other Aon facilities to deliver the Financial Lines requirements of Aon’s North American FI clients, the majority of whom are globally recognisable by name

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience gained within the insurance industry at either a Broker or Insurer

  • Minimum of 5 years’ technical Insurance knowledge across Financial Lines

  • Experience with North American wholesale business

  • Sound understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes

  • Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service

  • Experience of managing effective client relationships.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills

  • Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation

  • Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team
