The Agency Development Manager (ADM) for Commerce is responsible for relationships with Commerce leaders at our largest agency customers. They are tasked with accelerating Amazon Advertising revenue through increasing the scope of services that agencies offer to clients. This includes agencies running full-funnel advertising campaigns for brands as well as offering retail (in addition to advertising) services. Candidates must be excellent communicators, experienced in operating at all levels of matrixed organisations, strategic thinkers with the ability to earn the trust of partners internally and externally. Candidates must make data-led decisions, achieve ambitious goals, and have the ability to “think big” while prioritising and delivering leading experiences to Amazon Advertising’s media agency customers. ADMs play a critical role in arming agencies with the knowledge and tools to develop and sell through Amazon-focused ideas to their clients. You will be accountable for strategic alliances, education and ideation directly with media agency customers.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and execute a customer-led strategy for ad growth
Build and manage a detailed engagement strategy with Commerce leaders at Holding Companies
Identify and define Commerce incentives for inclusion in joint business plans
Liaise with global Commerce leads to scale
Commerce incentives globally and ensure consistent high standards of Commerce programs
Assist Holding Companies with their go-to-market, frameworks and auditing processes to deliver holistic Retail + ads solutions to endemic clients
Develop scaled training programs
Act as a thought leader and influencer within Amazon Ads
Create and execute cross-team project plans
Build and execute a detailed engagement strategy
A day in the life
Overseeing key customer meetings, running group presentations, building joint business plans and escalating blockers at the account level to agency leadership
About the team
Our team build long-lasting partnerships with our agency customers through the development of commercial and servicing plans covering our entire offering. We aim to increase the number of brands using Amazon, and the diversity of products and tools they use to drive revenue growth and advocacy with our agency customers.
Basic Qualifications
Agency and/or Commerce experience
Expertise in bidding and search management
A self-starter with demonstrated ability to think strategically about sales, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions
A proven track record in developing and launching go-to-market strategies and learning agendas
Proven track record of working with customers to introduce new products, develop market fit, and help the broader organisation scale sales of the solution
Self starter and strive with emerging tech and services
Preferred Qualifications
A proven track record in driving Commerce strategies
Knowledge of digital media (e.g. DSPs, programmatic media, premium digital video, performance advertising)
Knowledge of the Amazon stack (Amazon Marketing Cloud, attribution) and AWS services
Knowledge of 3rd party Commerce platforms
Understanding of Vendor / Seller models and implication with advertising
Proven track record of planning and buying via different retail marketplace
