Position Summary

The Advancement Solution Architect will be responsible for the overall solution design for advancement CRM solutions. Working closely with the functional team, comprised of business analysts and conversion leads both on and offshore, the Solution Architecture works with the client and project teams to ensure comprehensive success and sustainability of the overall solution, delivering high levels of client satisfaction. Additionally, the UK-based Advancement Solution Architect will contribute to sales opportunities, conference attendance and proposal responses within the UK market.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

• Responsible for determining the overall solution architecture and design of the processes, data model, gap solutions, and systems to advise the optimal client solution to achieve a cohesive design, Huron point of view and best practices.

• Works with client to determine CRM best practices for advancement.

• Works with the Functional and Technical Workstream leads collaboratively and with all pillars of the project (e.g., data migration, integrations, analytics) leveraging industry experience and best practices.

• Facilitates cross functional and system integration discussions.

• Helps to finalize the functional implementation strategy, working closely with the project team to identify and address potential risks, issues, and challenges.

• Provides leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the functional team, including business analysts and conversion leads.

• Assesses impact on design and solution due to any change requests being deployed.

• Supports internal and external client project teams in understanding, designing, and validating integration points across solutions.

• Participates in project management office activities, providing status reports, communicating, and escalating issues on a regular basis.

• Shares knowledge and best practices within the business practice and across workstreams.

• Partners with the sales team during the pursuit lifecycle, including present / demo concepts and functionalities to stakeholders and contribute to the overall resourcing needs for the project.

Other Responsibilities Include:

• Support in prospecting and developing new clients to expand Huron presence in the target industry space including maintaining an extensive pipeline of qualified new client opportunities.

• Partnering with internal Huron Managing Directors to introduce Huron’s solutions to clients.

• Co-developing client strategies with Sales and Marketing leadership and other practices.

• Defining growth opportunities through industry, client, and competitor analysis.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of related advancement system administration or implementation experience

  • CRM Project implementation experience

  • Experience as a functional application specialist

  • Five years of experience in university advancement/fundraising

  • Salesforce administrator certification

  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written - and the interpersonal skills needed quickly to establish relationships of trust and collaboration.

  • The ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron staff in both project-management and technical dimensions.

  • The ability to contribute on multiple projects of differing scale and duration.

  • Strong analytical skills used to translate information from meetings into documentation that can be shared with meeting participants and project teams.

  • A desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies.

  • Huron requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience
