We are seeking an innovative and analytical Risk Manager, Policy Ops in London to join our global team and support the Prime Video Trust & Safety Operations team by designing operational processes, building mechanisms, and reducing risk across current processes. Prime Video Trust & Safety programs aim to enable a globally trusted customer experience by ensuring that Prime Video provides content customers love and trust and accurate, meaningful and complete information to empowering customers to make informed viewing choices for themselves and their children.

This Risk Manager, Policy Ops will launch and enhance Europe/MENA-based operational workflows by identifying focus areas and implementing improvements, liaising with our global policy and program teams, anticipate risks, manage regional escalations, and overcome technical constraints with alternate short/medium term solutions.

To eliminate any doubt, this role involves reading, viewing, listening to and examining content to ensure it complies with guidelines. This of course means sometimes you will be viewing content that we ultimately determine to be non-compliant and this content could include challenging or upsetting scenes (e.g. bullying, hate speech, suicide). Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role is highly prescribed when considering applying for this role.

Key job responsibilities

  • Implement metrics, simplify processes, and approach problems with data-driven mindset.

  • Manage team of up to ten policy operations specialists.

  • Launch and enhance Europe-based operational workflows by identifying focus areas and implementing improvements, liaising with our global policy and program teams, anticipate risks, manage regional escalations, and overcome technical constraints with alternate short/medium term solutions.

  • Examine manual processes to identify trends and build systemic solutions with appropriate mechanisms to ensure adequate guard rails.

  • Work closely with Operations, Quality, T&S Program, Policy, Product, Legal, and leadership to build cross-functional programs and policies.

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience supporting classification, policy, compliance or trust & safety and using data and metrics to identify and implement improvements.

  • Experience in driving end to end delivery

  • Experience working cross-functionally.

  • Knowledge of content policy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with digital video streaming

  • Experience with people management

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Experience and strong interest in Operations, content compliance and accuracy.

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Proven problem solving skills, and strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems.
