POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Executive will support the DOSM, F&B Manager and Property Leadership Teams in various marketing activities and activations for The Sheraton Grand Park Lane. The Marketing Executive will support the development of the strategic marketing plan and supporting social media calendar and implement this across all platforms creating synergies with the hotel website, digital marketing plans and promotions to support all F&B outlets. Manage the day‐to‐day activities for social media channels, encouraging positive engagement across all segments. Work with the Digital Field Marketing Team to highlight and help activate targeted marketing opportunities to create awareness and generate revenue. Good organisational and administrative skills are essential in order to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Perform general administrative duties to support the hotel team e.g. email marketing, maintaining sufficient stock of promotional items and brochures, marketing support for sales teams such as sales blitz/GCAW activity planning, audit completion, site inspection preparation, business opportunity research, etc.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar marketing administrative or coordinator role, ideally within a hotel environment

Skills and Knowledge:

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Good at multitasking and working to deadlines

Knowledge of digital marketing techniques and use of paid, owned and earned media channels

Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)

Ability to work alone and within a team

Strong English language skills (verbal and written)

Excellent social media awareness and knowledge

Good time management and organisational skills

Ability to develop a good understanding of hotel and competitive market and use hotel’s USPs to the best advantage

Effective decision‐making skills

Ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation

Education or Certification

Marketing qualification desirable (degree or CIM)

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing, F&B Manager and Property Teams to develop and execute marketing plans and initiatives to support driving all key revenue streams including rooms, catering, F&B outlets

Contribute to the team by sharing new ideas and suggestions for improvements, being innovative and creative to provide a quality service to the hotels

Understand and support the activation of hotels core consumer messages and narrative across all areas of the business

Understanding and activation of the hotel’s brands, including key target audiences, brand activations and brand voice

Supports the development and execution of restaurant and bar marketing plans for Mercante, Palm Court, Smith & Whistle, Caffe Musetti and any future F&B concepts

Monitor and update OTA and third‐party event websites e.g. Booking.com, Expedia, Cvent

Manage Local Property Email Marketing in line with Marriott Email Marketing Policies

Updating and maintaining the hotel website (with the support of Digital Field Marketing) on a regular basis

Be responsible for managing and improving the hotel’s image and communication on social media channels and promote awareness of brand image internally and externally

Manage day to day activities of social media channels

Monitor community feedback in real‐time and assist with fan engagement

Research social media opportunities for all market segments; transient, leisure, group, catering,

Research and image sourcing of social media creative content

Support execution and fulfilment of projects as outlined on marketing communications plans and ensure the hotel team is aware of all brand marketing activations

Creating and processing any advertising requests and journalist visits

Designs PowerPoint presentations, flyers and all customer facing tools required by the hotel teams & using The Company App as required. Liaise with design and printing companies on various projects/collateral

Create and maintain the marketing calendar to ensure all promotion activity is documented and planned

Keep abreast of local area knowledge and events to support website enhancements and assist the team in maximising all revenue opportunities

Work closely with Revenue and Digital Marketing to ensure effective marketing of any hotel deals or promotions and support need and special event dates

Maintain files on competitors (including competitor site visits)

Knowledge of overall hotel operations as they effect the department

Prepare, coordinate and on occasion attend client events to help deliver a WOW. To include familiarization trips, site visits, sales blitz and trade shows etc.
