The Edge Production Infra & Connectivity team supports all connectivity for the Meta product family, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Quest.We are a global team of talented network professionals who are tasked with engaging with our ISP partners to identify and solve a wide array of challenges in both developed and growth markets. Our goal is to enable massive scalability, reliable service, and unparalleled performance, all of which are critical to helping build community and bring the world closer together.As an Edge Delivery Manager you will develop implementation plans based on capacity forecasts, and partner with internal teams to develop strategies for successful project deployment and growth of the edge. In this role, you will also be the primary contact working with partner networks around the globe, to enable continual growth across our entire portfolio of products, and with internal teams at Meta to continuously improve the related tools and processes. Candidate should be willing to travel for pre-arranged quarterly team meetings.

Required Skills:

Edge Delivery Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate Meta’s edge network performance and reliability goals identifying network needs ensuring those needs align with the strategies set forth for the region.

  2. Drive roadmaps with internal and external partners around peering and caching.

  3. Drive both strategic and tactical capacity planning to ensure that Meta products have sufficient network capacity while maintaining operational and financial discipline.

  4. Oversee a portfolio of ISP partners, including their peering and caching footprint, monitoring their utilization and performance paired with their forecasted demand to ensure sufficient capacity is negotiated and available.

  5. Build pipelines and perform analysis across data sources to understand forecasted traffic, drive cross functional agreement, helping create a regional network strategy to meet the needs of the business.

  6. Clearly present CDN caches and interconnection concepts for audiences of various sizes.

  7. Drive enhancements to existing data models in order to improve architectural standards and design principles that affect network capacity decisions.

  8. Create Product Requirements Documents enabling partner teams to develop reliable, long term data sets and systems to help automate & improve delivery times and employee efficiency.

  9. Provide analysis and planning support to the infrastructure, data analytics and other cross-functional teams to enable more efficient ISP partner engagements.

  10. Clearly present findings related to capacity challenges and constraints both to cross functional partners and org leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Degree in technological field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline) or 4+ years of equivalent experience working in a technology company.

  2. 2+ years of negotiations and relationship management with Internet Service Providers.

  3. 2+ years of experience in network interconnection and peering delivery in LATAM.

  4. Understanding of internet infrastructure fundamentals related to peering, content delivery networks and caching.

  5. In depth knowledge of network infrastructure, interconnection, BGP and traffic routing.

  6. Business and technical knowledge of networking, particularly in peering and transit.

  1. 2+ years of hands-on experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results across various stakeholders.

  2. 2+ years of hands-on experience taking data from various data sets (ex: SQL & Hive) and dissect the data to make informed decisions.

  3. Business level proficiency in Portuguese & Spanish.
