JOB SUMMARY

Marriott International’s Managed hotels in the Central London Cluster seek a dynamic, creative and customer focused Cluster Sales Manager for our amazing five properties:

  • London Marriott Hotel County Hall

  • London Marriott Hotel Kensington

  • London Marriott Hotel Maida Vale

  • London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch

  • London Marriott Hotel Regents Park

The Cluster Sales Manager is responsible for managing the relationship of assigned key accounts and generating new business within their designated cluster of hotels. The primary intent is to drive sales for the hotels in the cluster across all business segments. The Cluster Sales Manager will also facilitate sales opportunities for outbound hotels at the customer’s request. Proactively manages relationships with multiple stakeholders. Works in-conjunction with stakeholder hotels to ensure sales account revenue targets are achieved.

The Cluster Sales Manager provides sales support at both a cluster and property level.

  • Property industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.

  • Travel Requirements: Moderate travel required within the cluster as necessary to support hotels.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Sales and Marketing

  • Maintains and grows business from existing accounts and generates new business based on targets agreed with cluster stakeholders for all assigned cluster hotels.

  • Creates strategy for account penetration and new business across assigned cluster hotels. Coordinates and completes sales activity and follow-up

  • Work with hotels and other sales teams (National Sales/Global Sales) to support closure of key enquiries.

  • Proactive Sales – Saturates and penetrates assigned accounts for group, extended stay, catering and transient business. Maintains current business relationships and networks for new business within accounts.

  • Develops contracts and correspondence, manages opportunity details and proactively develops customer solutions.

  • Works with National Sales to coordinate the pricing process for assigned cluster hotels.

  • Hotel Communication – Coordinates with hotels for site inspections, FAM trips and hospitality. Updates hotels on the status of their accounts and pending business and ensures follow-through and property “buy in” on customers service needs.

  • Strategic Direction – Works with Account Director and Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing on account productivity, opportunities and strategic direction.

  • Assumes leadership role, as requested by Account Director and Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing, on ad hoc task forces and special projects, including developing processes to identify potential new accounts.

  • Maintains accurate and up to date account data and reporting using account management system.

  • Participates on Global Sales Organization and National Sales account teams as needed

  • Assist the Properties as needed

Revenue Management

  • In partnership with Revenue Management, develops business sales strategy to achieve cluster goals.

  • Ensures that market and hotel sales strategies are communicated, implemented and updated within the cluster and with the above property proactive teams as market conditions fluctuate.

  • Partners with Revenue Management for annual pricing process, request for pricing (RFPs) and development of marketing business plan.

  • Monitors local, regional and national business outlook and consults with Revenue Management on strategy.
