Research & Development, Global Science Program

2 full-time internships, located in Logan, UT. Duration: 6-8 weeks

    What You'll Work On

The Science Intern will play a supportive role within the Global Science Program at Campbell Scientific, engaging in a variety of activities that underline the company's commitment to advancing and promoting scientific knowledge. Under the guidance of experienced scientists, the intern will gain hands-on experience in research, development, testing, and communication, contributing to the improvement of Campbell Scientific's products and its stature within the scientific community.

You'll Support Your Team by Performing the Following Key Tasks

  • Contributing to projects including installation and maintenance of equipment, data collection, visualization, analysis and communication

    What We're Looking For

  • Data processing, analysis, and visualization with commonly used tools such as Python or R

  • Knowledge of experimental design

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in successfully working individually and in teams

  • Progress toward or completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree in meteorology, climatology, or related discipline

  • Knowledge about electronics, information technology, measurement principles, and instrument calibration, preferred.

  • Experience with Campbell Scientific products, preferred.

    Work Environment

Work will be carried out in office, laboratory, and outdoor environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Combination of standing and sitting for extended hours during the workday; close and distance vision abilities including color and depth perception, heavy use of computer systems and equipment including computer monitors. Field work such as installation and maintenance of monitoring stations.

  • Must be willing and able to carry out repetitive tasks during controlled experimentation.
