Kuehne+Nagel Saftey Manager in Locust Grove, Georgia
We are looking for a Safety Manager to handle the implementation, compliance, audits, and action outcomes for our distribution facility in Locust Grove, Georgia. If you are passionate about protecting the health and safety of people, consider joining Kuehne+Nagel (KN).
Your Role
In this role, you will investigate incidents, maintain records, conduct safety drills, and develop an Environmental Management System. You will also address safety risks, ensure OSHA compliance, conduct safety training, and perform safety assessments and audits.
Your Responsibilities
You will be the subject matter expert for the safety and health of our associates
Maintain document control and retention for all local forms, work instructions, profiles, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
Identify and assist with implementing improvements to safety standards
Train all newly hired staff on safety policies and procedures according to OSHA guidelines
Conduct annual safety drills (Fire, Evacuation, and Seek-shelter)
Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures
Maintain accurate reports, training records, and certificates
Host audits conductedby clients and third parties
Your Skills and Experiences
Bachelor’s degree in supply chainmanagement or related field, or equivalent combination of education andexperience
5+ years of experience with healthand safety
5+ years of warehousing experience
Knowledge of OSHA guidelines andimplementation
Proficient in Word, Excel (maintain complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint
