About The Role

The Senior Business Analyst position for the CBRE GWS Insights group acts as a project coordinator and technical lead for business intelligence projects passionate about real estate data analyses for CBRE’s clients. Through data warehousing, visualization, and examination, this position helps our clients optimize their operations across all service lines: facilities management, project management, finance, portfolio administration, cost forecasting, etc.

A senior analyst works closely with our clients and database technical team to automate data collection from source operational systems, aggregate and standardize the information in a data warehouse, and develop Tableau dashboards that improve the warehouse to generate substantial client insights.

Additionally, the CBRE GWS Insights group helps our clients develop budgets, benchmark facility operating costs, and predict upcoming capital requirements. A senior analyst leads projects to collect the requisite client real estate data, build and refine cost models using CBRE tools, and present a substantial financial story in formal reports and briefings.

The ideal candidate possesses broad skills across five key categories: Tableau expertise, experience in data modeling and relational databases, advanced project management, strong client-facing communications, and knowledge of the corporate real estate outsourcing industry. What You’ll Do

  • Perform both technical lead and project coordinator responsibilities for business intelligence projects for a variety of corporate and government clients.

  • Build, maintain, and optimize creative data visualizations and dashboards (primarily in Tableau) to derive actionable intelligence.

  • Provide domain expertise on data-related processes and analyses.

  • Collect business and data requirements to ensure insertion in the final solution.

  • Present progress and results to clients (both in-person and virtually) and collect feedback for revisions.

  • Prepare formal presentations and/or written reports describing project methodology, scope, key assumptions, and results.

  • Collaborate with CBRE’s Digital and Technology team to implement automated technical solution for business intelligence projects.

  • Miscellaneous technical support for marketing materials, and data support for CBRE software systems.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS or equivalent experience) from a four-year college or university. Master’s degree or MBA preferred. Minimum 5+ years of related experience.

  • Must have Real Estate experience.

  • Excellent data management, manipulation, and analysis skills. Ability to build coordinated data models from disparate sources.

  • Grasp of relational databases. Highly skilled in dashboard design and development.

  • Advanced Tableau skills are required. Proficiency in database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server is preferred

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex data sets. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

  • PMP certification and/or Lean 6-sigma green belt preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Ability to deliver efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

CBRE considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $90,000 annually and the maximum salary is $110,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
