Position Overview

Kiewit Foundations District is seeking motivated and skilled Project Engineers to join our team in the Gulf Coast region, primarily in Louisiana and Mississippi. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for constructing a project's administrative and technical aspects, managing a team of field and cost engineers. You will be the main conduit of information between the construction manager and the team for cost, revenue, and cash flow information. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of foundation construction projects.

  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other team members to ensure project success.

  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

  • Prepare and review project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and reports.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve project-related issues.

  • Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to project specifications.

  • Perform scheduling of the project.

  • Manage revenue, cost, and cash flow.

  • Oversee temporary engineering and permanent design management.

  • Ensure quality control.

  • Handle project closeout and client relations.

  • Assist in operations planning.

  • Administer contracts and subcontracts.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent).

  • 5+ years of work experience in construction or engineering.

  • Preferably, experience with augered cast-in-place (ACIP) piles is required, though not required.

  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles.

  • Experience managing engineers.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.

  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.

  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.

  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.

  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help ensure that nobody gets hurt.

  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.

  • Willingness to travel and relocate within the Gulf Coast region as needed.
