Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description

You will be responsible for operating, testing, modifying, troubleshooting, repairing, and inspecting all avionics and electrical systems on the aircraft. Your role will include completing assigned tasks within the allocated man-hour budgets and on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to all safety and regulatory regulations and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, test, modify, troubleshoot, repair, and inspect avionics and electrical systems on the aircraft.

  • Complete tasks within allocated man-hour budgets and schedules while adhering to quality standards.

  • Interpret and follow complex wiring diagrams and schematics.

  • Perform wire-by-wire, power, functional, and operational checkouts of electrical and avionics systems prior to aircraft flight.

  • Set up required electrical and electronic test equipment in compliance with technical data and complete the appropriate functional test.

  • Connect air data test set to appropriate aircraft fixtures and complete a full functional checkout of the entire pitot/static air data system.

  • Troubleshoot and correct discrepant systems.

  • Perform soldering applications in various positions.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with avionic troubleshooting, avionics installation, electrical systems, and interpreting schematics.

  • Ability to articulate the manufacturers of any systems they worked on (e.g., Garmin, Honeywell).

  • SATCOM experience or experience loading databases on the Honeywell Epic system.

  • Experience with FAR 91.411 or 91.413.

  • Experience with Quadrax connectors and wire harness installations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in function testing, troubleshooting, and repairing basic aircraft electrical systems (all models).

  • Experience in function testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft avionics systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, etc.

Work Environment

You will work in a climate-controlled hangar. We are currently seeking candidates for the weekend shift, which is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 AM to 7 PM. You will work 36 hours and be paid for 40. Some overtime may be required as business needs dictate.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
